Gavin Youngson

Product Manager Plant Based Foods


Gavin has been working in New Product Development since 2015 across a number of large manufacturers. With a chef background from a young age, he gained a BA in Culinary Arts Management from University College Birmingham.


After graduating he has worked as a Consultant Chef for Mars Foods, a Development Chef for Samworth Brothers and Category Development Chef for Greencore. He has a range of experiences working with leading retailers and brands along with successful product launches.


In recent years he has been specialising in vegan product development, leading to a variety of products hitting the UK’s shelves. As well as this he strives to make products as environmentally friendly as possible, revising all recipes to reflect this.


At SPG Innovation Gavin is managing all things plant-based, and looking forward to bringing new and exciting products to the market.
